As much as I hate myself for this, I love being extremely cheesy with you. I usually cringe at the big gestures, the "I Love You" signs and embarrassing displays of couple-y photo albums on Facebook.
But because I enjoy your company
Because I love your smile and the way you make me laugh
even when I'm at my worst
Because you keep me going when I feel like I could
stop at any time
Because you surprise me with flowers, chocolate,
Gatorade for training, and visits
Because you make a point to always ask me how I am
and what I'm doing when I'm really bored
Because you make sure I get to my car,
or home, safely
Because you always look and act so cute
when you don't try to be
Because you make the effort to get to know my friends
and my sisters and speak the best English you can
when it's not in your comfort zone
Because you always compliment me, and tell me
"You're beautiful" even at my ugliest
Because you love me even when I'm really mean to you
or when my mood swings are at the extremes
Because you challenge me to do well in school and in Street
And because you look at me as if I was the most beautiful girl
in the world and there is no one else you'd rather be with...
