Last night marked my last official training with LSDC-Street as a one of their current members and as a student of DLSU. Everything about the day before happened as though to remind me of the amazing moments there are everyday as a student at that wonderful university. Everything I did, artistically, reminded me of how I'd started with the organization: company training during the day with Coach Mycs, who has basically seen me grow up in the street dance aspect of my dance life, included basic groove technique that I used to do with her laughing at me in the background. I spent my afternoon with three funny, wonderful people whom I have spent my administrative LSDC life with and grown with through committee and sponsors' meetings and events. I spent my evening laughing and being sabaw at the Yuch Lobby with old members and alumni alike. Most importantly, I ended the night by dancing a beautiful, meaningful piece with my dance buddy for life, AC.
There is nothing more perfect than having an unplanned day turn into a spectrum of memories and quintessential circumstances. I am not yet saying goodbye to the team that has turned my life (artistically) around, but I am acknowledging the fact that they have played such an important role in my entire journey through college.
I am so grateful to still have the opportunity to dance with such talented, passionate people. Despite the receipt of a diploma as the final straw later today, the dancing will never, ever stop.
