Connections

The funny thing about people who avoid being friends with you on social networking sites is their ridiculous oblivion to the fact that things will always be found out.

My eyes and ears are always on the look out, and I continue to surprise myself with my many discoveries: how people blatantly talk about you with other people whom you think are good friends on internet pages that they think you can't see, how your pictures are looked at and your profile information read, and how they go all-out just to find out the inner workings of your completely cleansed mind.

I'm appalled and flattered at the same time. With things like these, it's best to laugh them off and go with the flow. Why? Lately, I've discovered exactly how much I've matured. The things I would do in high school (i.e. "bitch slap", blackmail, etc.) I would never now do in college. It astounds me as to the actions of college-level people nowadays, who continue to think, live, and breathe their high school immaturity.

I'm grateful for the people and experiences that have changed me, and my biggest learning this week? Always be the bigger person -- whether you'd like to or not.
