My sophomore year of college will come to a close in a week, and I can't believe how fast things have been going. So many things have changed in over a year, and I'm really lucky to have been blessed with so many opportunities, wonderful and surprising accomplishments, and love, as a whole.
A few weeks ago, I was elected into my dance company's Executive Board, as the new division manager for Marketing. It is a whole new field I chose to join only last year, because I believed I would become more efficient in terms of work proper. Little did I know that I would be the next one to lead in that department, for marketing was never an element in my plans for the future. But little signs are brought upon us in the flurry of excitement over life, and it is always up to us whether or not we choose to stop and take a good, long look at it. I am anxious over the entire leadership-planning process, but I'm choosing to take this summer without any new experiences in dance in order to focus on work strategies.
Only recently did I gain a bit of knowledge as to what I want to do after college. There have been mazes and loopholes along the way, and I know they won't end anytime soon. I am hoping that as the following academic years approach, the confusion will untangle itself soon enough and that my vision will be fairly lucid.
Congratulations, Ella! I barely see you, but know that I am always wishing you well. Good luck with your plans! :)
