The movie's leading actress is that of the Korean original, My Sassy Girl. My boredom grew as I watched the American version of the latter, but from what I hear, the Korean version is one to place on the "ultimate tearjerkers" list. Windstruck contains silly, puppy-dog love montages mixed with police cop-action and drama. It is the story of a tough woman police cop who falls in love with a man she mistakes for a criminal. The movie gets brighter and sadder (ironically) from then on. You wince at the moments you believe you know the ending to, then sigh with relief at the realities of it.

Despite the need for English subtitles, this movie is highly enjoyable... and refreshingly creative.

I have already expressed my sentiments regarding my place in my AB-Literature course, at present. What others do not know, however, is that my usual confident self hides in a corner during my major classes. My professors are all renowned, published writers with literature awards for this and doctorates at that. They are all very passionate people and can ramble on for hours about critical English theories (as well as a mere term syllabus) -- but what else can you expect from searching, learning artists?
To make matters worse, I am highly oblivious to the reality of just how great the students are in my block. Only two days of school for this term have passed (most classes without the absence of lessons -- or professors), yet I already feel unworthy of my spot. It was really difficult to get into the majors program for my course, it being a Center of Excellence at DLSU, and I knew what was in store for me. I guess it could just be pre-major jitters... or PMS.
Just kidding.
One of my newfound blockmates wrote a recent article for the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
How's that for intimidation.
Here is an excerpt from "Apathy" by Olivia Estrada:
KINDLY HELP me figure out which of the following is most disturbing: a) after 19 years, the Vizconde case remains a mystery; b) Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens broke up after four years; c) my friends and classmates are more concerned about b than a.
Indeed, there are certain events that even the best fictionists cannot imagine. The acquittal of Hubert Webb and company just had to happen on the same day Zanessa headed for Splitsville, the result of which was a good day for Facebook as my news feed went into a fiesta.
